Classics and
Mediterranean Archaeology:
A great place to start learning about the Ancient Classical World is with
this Classics, Archaeology and Mythology WWW site. It includes access to English
translations of Vergil's Aeneid, the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Bible and
to a multitude of other important and interesting WWW sites.

architecture mainly from the Mediterranean basin.

Exploring Ancient
Cultures: This site provides a general introduction to ancient world
cultures via the World-Wide Web aimed particularly at college freshmen.
Eight cultures are included: the Near East, India, China, Egypt, Greece,
Rome, the
Islamic World, and Medieval Europe.

Archaeological Resources: Some of the most important
WWW sites for archaelogical research or just browsing. Included are sites

word and the materials used for written expression are a fascinating story.
