Comparative
Industrial Relations Systems II (IRL 421) examines Industrial Relations
and Human Resource Management systems around the world except in the economically
developed countries of North America and Europe. Japan and India are two
of the countries we study.
We decided to use this as an excuse to sample some different
types of cuisine. So, during the Fall 2004 semester, we arranged to have dinner
at a Japanese Steak House, Ichiban’s. It’s too bad we couldn’t get good pictures
(videos would have been much better) of everyone trying to use chop sticks at
Ichiban's. Those would have been priceless.
Our chef preparing dinner and putting on quite a show.

Here is the group attempting to eat dinner with chop sticks.
It was definitely worth watching.

The brave among us continue with chop sticks
while others, motivated by hunger and frustration, switch over to forks! |
